Gery Georgieva (b. Varna, Bulgaria 1986) lives and works in London. Recent solo shows include Res. at Enclave, Deptford and Svarta Halets, Stockholm. She has held live performances and installations as part of group shows with AFTER/HOURS/DROP/BOX at Spike Island, Bristol and at Modern Art Oxford, Silver Salon at Bold Tendencies, Peckham, Last Chance for a Slow Dance at ICA London, Apophenia at Islington Mill, Salford and Premiums at Royal Academy, London. She is currently studying at the Royal Academy Schools.

Vera Modena is the diva alter-ego of artist Gery Georgieva. Backed by the vulgar, unfiltered rhythms of her collaborator, Patchfinder, Modena performs corrupt kuchek beats and the siren call of Rhodope-style choral chants.
