'Bodies must touch the ground'

Born 1982 South Africa, lives and works in London. Hurrell works across performance and sculpture to explore choreography of the body, sound and object. Investigating forms of language and movement in relation to physical and psychological experience. Hurrell graduated from BA Dance and Visual Arts, University of Brighton (2004) and MA Sculpture Royal College of Art (2011). Recent exhibitions and performances include Movement Study 4 (Dorsal/Breast), part of My Vocabulary Did This To Me, South London Gallery (2014), Silver, Outpost Gallery, Norwich (2014); Release All Whales From Captivity, Carlos/Ishikawa Gallery, London (2013); Coda, Bold Tendencies, Sadler's Wells Weekend, London (2012)
